FAQ

Fair questions.

Everything people ask before their first match. Anything else: hello@tournamently.de

Does my opponent need the app?
For live scoring, no — you can run the match from one phone. To appear on leaderboards and see their own stats, they create a free account via your invite link or QR code.
Which games are supported?
Backgammon, table tennis and tennis ship with full rule support (match formats, double game wins, 15-30-40 scoring). Beyond that you can add any game as a custom game with its own scoring — darts, chess, kart racing, whatever your crew argues about.
Can I add results from games we already played?
Yes. "Log a finished game" lets you enter a result retroactively, including the date. Your stats and head-to-head records update as if you had scored it live.
Can I edit or delete a result?
You can delete any result from its match detail page. Deleted results disappear from both players’ stats. Editing is coming; for now, delete and re-log.
How do tournaments work?
Pick a game, throw everyone in, and Tournamently draws random groups and builds the bracket. Every tournament match is scored like a normal live game, and the winner takes the crown.
What do the ratings mean?
Each game type has its own ELO-style rating starting at 1500. Win against stronger players, gain more points. It’s per-sport — your backgammon glory won’t carry your table tennis.
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads, no subscriptions, no data selling. It’s a passion project — see the pricing page for the full comedy routine.
What happens to my data?
Results are stored on EU servers (Hetzner, Germany) and shared only with the friends you play with. Delete your account any time — your matches are anonymized, your data removed. Details in the privacy policy.
